The soil moisture analysis (SMA) service provides an assessment of most recent level of soil moisture in selected areas across the country. This services helps advise local community. farmers and local agencies (Fire and Emergency Services Authority, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Samoa Tourism Authority, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Electric Power Corporation and Samoa Water Authority) manage available resources and adaptation planning. SMA is a product of Samoa's Climate Early Warning System (CLEWS).
