Sea Level Prediction for Samoa
Sea level rise continues to affect Samoa's coastal industries and ecosystems. As a direct result, livelihood of local communities are severe impacted. Through utilisation of a sea level prediction model that allows us to predict sea level changes up to 1 to 9 months in advance.
The Seasonal Prediction of Sea level service is designed to inform local communities and Government agencies (Fisheries Division-MAF, Division of Environment Conservation-MNRE and Disaster Management Office-MNRE) by providing early warning and prediction information to minimize risks/impacts of changing sea levels.
The following products were generated from POAMA-2 Global Climate Model under PACCSAP that Samoa is a Partner Country.
